Ingredients of Stuffed moong dal chilla rolls
- Prepare 2 cups of Moong Dal.
- Prepare 2 of whole green chilli.
- Prepare 1 " of ginger.
- It's 1/2 cup of chopped corriandar leaves.
- Prepare 1/2 teaspoon of Asafotida.
- Prepare 1/2 teaspoon of Turmeric powder.
- Prepare 1 cup of small diced mixed vegetables (carrot,corn kernels,green peas, capsicum, potato,green beans).
- You need 50 gms of paneer/cottage cheese.
- It's 1 tablespoon of chopped onion.
- Prepare 1 teaspoon of cumin- corriandar powder.
- Prepare 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds.
- You need 2 teaspoons of salt.
- Prepare 2 tablespoons of green chutney.
Now heat a nonstick pan (tawa). Take one tbs dal batter and spread it on the tawa. To prepare stuffed moong dal cheelas, heat a non-stick tava (griddle) and lightly grease it with oil. Pour a ladleful of the batter on the tava.

- First soak the moong Dal at least for 5 hours or overnight. Then drain the excess water & make a smooth paste by adding green chillies,cumin seeds & ginger. Add little water too..
- Now into the Moong Dal paste add some hing/Asafotida,turmeric powder & chopped corriandar leaves. Add little water & make a pouring consistency batter..
- Now heat up a Tawa & brush little oil.Then take a spoonful of Moong Dal batter & spread over the tawa with the help of the back side of the spatula. Let the bottom of the chilla cook for a minute.Then turn it over & cook the other side of the chilla..
- Make all chillas using the same method. Once the chills are done keep them aside & make the stuffing. Heat up oil & add chopped onion & saute. Then add the diced veggies & saute. Add salt & let them cook for a while by covering the pan. After few minutes add cumin-coriander powder & cover it up again..
- Once the veggies are done add paneer/cottage cheese to the the pan & mix everything for a minute or two. finally add chopped corriandar leaves & switch off the flame..
- Now make the rolls by applying 1 teaspoon green chutney on the chilla & spread it all over to the chilla. Then place 1 tablespoon of prepared vegetable mix on the top & roll the chilla. Make all the chilla rolls following the same process..
- Serve it with green chutney & enjoy..
