Recipe: Appetizing Sol kadi
Sol kadi. Solkadi Is a part of the Goan, konkan and Malvani cuisine. it is served as a digestive and also as a cooler. By the way the shacks do serve Goan food, but don't expect a sol kadhi there. They don't have thalis and the food is catered to the likes of the foreign tourists.
Kokum itself is supposed to be an. Sol Kadi is a refreshing Konkani drink with a light coconut base and a hint of kokum. I first had it in Goa quite a few years ago and just fell in love with it. You can have Sol kadi using 9 ingredients and 16 steps. Here is how you achieve it.
Ingredients of Sol kadi
- You need of Dry Kokum.
- You need of fresh coconut.
- Prepare of water.
- It's of Salt.
- It's of Mustard seeds.
- Prepare of Curry leaves.
- Prepare of Small piece of Ginger.
- You need of jeera.
- You need of green chillies.

Sol kadi step by step
- Soak kokum in 1/2 goass water for 15 mts.
- Mash with hand and Strain nicely.
- Keep the kokum water aside.
- Take half coconut grind with jeera and ginger,green chillies.
- Make coconut milk from this mixture.
- In a kadai.
- ,in a Kadai,add oil,heat it.
- Add mustard seeds,saute.
- Add curry leaves,splutter.
- Add kokum water,let it boil nicely fir 10 mts.
- Off the gas,add coconut milk slowly.
- Mix nicely.
- Serve.
- It helos to keep Stomach cool.
- Good after eating Nin veg and Spucy food.
