  1. It's 1 cup of Gram flour (besan).
  2. Prepare 1 of potato chopped.
  3. You need 3/4 tsp of Carom seeds (ajwain).
  4. It's 1/2 of medium Onion finely chopped.
  5. It's 1/2 tsp of Turmeric powder.
  6. It's to taste of Salt.
  7. You need 1 tsp of Red chilli powder.
  8. You need As needed of mustard oil.
  9. You need of For kadhi.
  10. Prepare 4 tbsp of Gram flour (besan).
  11. It's 1 1/2 cup of Yoghurt sour.
  12. Prepare 1 tsp of Cumin seeds.
  13. It's 1 tsp of Fenugreek seeds (methi dana).
  14. Prepare 1 pinch of Asafoetida.
  15. It's 4 of Dried red chillies.
  16. Prepare 1 tsp of dry coriander seeds.
  17. Prepare 1 tsp of carom seeds(ajwain).
  18. Prepare 2 tbsp of Desi ghee.
  19. It's 1 tsp of red chilli powder.
  20. You need 1/2 tsp of Turmeric powder.
  21. It's to taste of salt.

  1. Firstly to prepare the pakora mix all the ingredients mentioned for pakoras and make a thick batter..
  2. Fry these in the form of round pakoras in hot mustard oil..
  3. Keep these aside..
  4. Now let’s prepare the kadi. Put mustard oil in a kadai and let it burn..
  5. Turn off the flame and add dry masala ingredients (fenugreek,coriander seeds, ajwain, asofodia, cumin,dried red chillies) and let them splutter..
  6. In a separate bowl add yoghurt, besan, salt,red chillie,turmeric powder,garam masala and blend it with a hand blender..
  7. Add this mixture into the kadai with 2 cups of water..
  8. Switch on the flame and keep stirring till a boil..
  9. Let it simmer and cook for around 1 hour. Keep stirring in between..
  10. Now time to add the pakoras..
  11. Let it boil for another 15-20minutes..
  12. Make a tarka in a pan with desi ghee and red chillies..
  13. Put tarka over the kadi.Also sprinkle some fresh coriander according to choice..
  14. Serve with steamed rice and chopped onions..
