Ingredients of Moong Dal Pakodas

  1. It's of yellow moong dal.
  2. You need of green chilli-coriander leaves paste.
  3. You need of ginger sliced.
  4. Prepare of onion minced finely.
  5. It's of cumin seeds.
  6. Prepare of sesame seeds.
  7. You need of red chilli powder.
  8. It's of meat masala.
  9. It's of black pepper powder.
  10. It's of amchur.
  11. It's of cumin powder.
  12. You need of gram flour (besan).
  13. Prepare of cornflour.
  14. You need of baking soda.
  15. You need of Salt.
  16. Prepare of Oil for deep frying.

Moong Dal Pakodas instructions

  1. Soak moong dal for at least 3 hours..
  2. Coarsely grind it with chilli paste and ginger..
  3. Remove the batter to a mixing bowl..
  4. Add chopped onions, cumin seeds, sesame seeds, black pepper powder, red chilli powder, meat masala, amchur, cumin powder, gram flour, cornflour, and salt to taste. Mix all thoroughly..
  5. Heat oil in a thick bottom wok/saucepan. Just before frying the Pakodas, add baking soda. Give the batter a quick whisk..
  6. Take about a teaspoon of batter and carefully drop in the hot oil without overcrowding. Keep the flame medium..
  7. Keep pouring the hot oil over the Pokadas to evenly cook it. Flip them once golden colour has been achieved. Fry the other side too. Keep tossing and turning the Pokadas till they are evenly colored..
  8. Remove them to a plate covered with paper towels to drain excess oil..
  9. Serve hot with tea/coffee and your favourite condiment..
